Pouvoirs de l’horreur au féminin
Deux conférences de Muriel Andrin enregistrées les 28/11/2017 et 5/12/2017 au PointCulture de l’ULB
Imaginé, depuis ses origines, par des cinéastes masculins, le cinéma d’horreur joue depuis toujours sur des stéréotypes de genre, délimitant ce que chacun peut être, faire (ou ne pas faire) au sein des récits, des femmes victimes aux hommes protecteurs ou agresseurs.
Mais depuis les années 2000, les personnages féminins se sont émancipés, et les réalisatrices ont investi en force ce cinéma foisonnant, bousculant les conventions et proposant une nouvelle répartition du monde.

Muriel Andrin est présidente de filière et enseigne au sein du Master en Écriture et analyse cinématographiques de l’Université Libre de Bruxelles. Elle est membre des Centres de recherches MuCiA (Musique, Cinéma et Arts de la scène) et STRIGES (Structure de recherche interdisciplinaire sur le genre). Sa recherche porte notamment sur la représentation des femmes au cinéma, sur le travail des réalisatrices ainsi que sur les variations syncrétiques entre le cinéma et l’art contemporain.
